This shape first appeared in the late 70s in the Cutler and Gross Store in London. and was a bestseller right from the start. The undulating brow bar. easy rectangular lens shape and bold sweeping temples captured our customers imaginations. It was one of the first shapes to be available by bespoke order in our original store in Knightsbridge from the 1970s to the early 1980s. These frames were actually made by hand on the second floor of our shop. which still exists today. In 2001 we redesigned the bridge. lowering the height by 3mm and widening the bridge by 2mm to create the more inclusive bridge fit that you see today. Fast forward to 2021 and this new emboldened style is made in layers to celebrate the 9mm. The sunglass version is made in Black on Camo with high quality French made. Grey Green Solid sun lens with back surface anti reflective coating. And in timeless Granny Chic with a Dark Brown sun lens with back surface anti reflective coating.
